Background Information

After independence the economic regeneration of India was vitally influenced by rapid industrialization. Many new industries came into existence and the old were renovated and expanded which brought to focus the need for right type of skilled manpower to be developed through formal and systematic industrial training programmes. Consequently about 356 Industrial Training Institutes with a training capacity of about 1.5 lakh in various engineering and non-engineering trades were gradually setup by the end of 1962 under Craftsmen Training Scheme which was further supplemented by the Apprenticeship Training Scheme under the Apprentices Act 1961 for on the job training to meet the growing need of the industries.

Subsequently many more ITIs both Govt and private affiliated came into existence. But considering the huge quality requirement of such skilled manpower due to technological upgradation in industries as well as the rapid growth of population in the country only the Govt ITIs were not sufficient to cater to the entire requirement of industries, thereby, some training institutes came into existence from many registered society / trust / NGO’s for providing training to the educated youth of the country. Moreover due to some rigid admission criteria in it is, a good section of the youth who were deprived of getting the scope of admission into ITIs were given scope for training in such institutes.

Creation of Trust

Proyash Educational & Social Trust is a registered Trust organisation, The trust was created in the memory of Late Monoranjan Hazra who was a writer, critic, social worker, a freedom fighter who had more than 10 year confinements in British era for Indian freedom movement and a member of State Legislature and Indian Parliament from 1952 to 1982. His whole life was spent for the development of backward class of people especially the peasant and industrial workers of the society. To honour his noble activities and sacrifice the Trust aims to continue his mission to provide professional courses and skill development in the field of technical education to the youths & upcoming students of the society. With the help of highly qualified and experienced members of the Advisory Board and an equally qualified and experienced faculty, our initiative is to provide quality education and vocational training to train our students for the development of competitive skill and knowledge of technology for the present and future needs.

Establishment of Our Institute

Our Proyash Educational & Social Trust was established in the year 2009, dully registered on 01.01.2010 and started imparting training on behalf of others at few districts such as Hooghly, Burdwan & Birbhum. Presently Proyash Educational & Social Trust has decided to impart training directly to the concerned students with a view to provide direct placement assistance.

Recent Decision of Our Trust

The governing body members of our trust have decided to impart training independently at suitable locations through systematic and planned studies in sync with the technological innovation and continuous change in industrial skill profiles. We always remain vigilant towards the advancement that is taking place in the industries so as to consider the review of our curriculum accordingly. Our motto is to continuously upgrade and update our training according to the need and trends of the industries such that our training courses would be world-class so as to enable our students to get themselves not only placed nationally but internationally as well.

Organisation's Profile

Proyash Technical Training Institute, is a further step to impart vocational training in the field Specialised focus on Air-condition, Automobile, Electrical & Electronics, Solar System, Civil, Computer Hardware and Computer software Engineering. From the year 2011 to till date, more than 2500 students are passed out in various courses and 2000+ students got placement in various organisations.

Additionally, we are jointly administrating “George school of law”, Konnagar, Hooghly to impart legal education such as BALLB affiliated to University of Calcutta, LLB affiliated to University of Burdwan and approved by the Bar Council of India. Transforming carrier of students with legal, ethical and cultural development.

Our centres are well located being connected with road transport as well as railway services for easy access to our staff, faculties and students. The institute has the requisite infrastructure and we would keep ourselves vigilant to modernize them at all times. We do have qualified teaching faculties whom we propose to send and visit industries from time to time for upgrading and updating their knowledge and skills such that our students are benefited in turn at all times.

Students' Exposure

Besides imparting institutional training, we have proposed to provide scope of exposure in real life situation in industries through industrial visits to some reputed concerns or provide them with short term hands-on-training on some special gadgets, equipment cum machines as available in industries in order to complement their knowledge and skills. Students are also supposed to carry out project work as well.

Provision for training of traditional industrial workers

Our motto is also to provide training facilities to such people who are working in industries without having any formal training earlier such that they could be benefited by availing systematic practical training along with adequate theory and the knowledge of working with safe practices so that industries would be benefited with their services and accidents could be minimized.

Introduction of Communicative English cum Personality Development

We also propose to provide our students with an exposure in communicative English and personality development including interview grooming classes such that it would help them in facing interviews nationwide as well as internationally too.

Placement cell

The institute has a placement cell in order to provide placement assistance to our students. Our placement cell remains in constant touch with various concerns for placing our students. We also guide our students those who would like to go for self-employment by setting up of their own entreprise or business by providing necessary guidance to them.
